Private 5833510, 2nd Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment. Died as a Prisoner of War J. 69 missing presumed drowned, on board TOYOFUKU MARU 21st September 1944. Age 31. Commemorated on SINGAPORE MEMORIAL, Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore. Column 58.

BARWELL

Arthur Edward

Corporal 6025820, Eighth Army Signals, Royal Corps of Signals. Died 26th June 1945. Age 33. Son of James and Anne Barwell; husband of Elsie Agnes Barwell, of Hadleigh, Essex. Buried in UDINE WAR CEMETERY, Italy. Grave II. D. 11.

CHRISTY

Peter McMartin

Aircraftman 2nd Class 3008938, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Died 22nd September 1944. Age 18. Son of Vincent and Jean Christy, of Bedford. Buried in BEDFORD CEMETERY, Foster Hill Road, Bedford. Section I. Grave 405.

FLETCHER

Norman Frank

Private 5052517, The Hallamshire Battalion, York and Lancaster Regiment. Died 20th February 1945. Age 28. Son of Frank and Edith May Fletcher; husband of Florence Elizabeth Fletcher, of Bishop Monkton, Yorkshire. Buried in JONKERBOS WAR CEMETERY, Gelderland, Netherlands. Grave 6. A. 4.

HEWITT

Arthur Herbert

Corporal 815203, Royal Air Force (Auxiliary Air Force). Died 8th March 1945. Age 25. Son of Horace and Gladys Hewitt, of Woolaton, Nottinghamshire. Buried in LONGBENTON CEMETERY, DUDLEY, Northumberland. Section E. Grave 400.
