A
new War Memorial, which was dedicated by the Bishop of Bedford on Thursday
11th November 2010, can be found in Carlton and village hall. The Memorial
is situated on the Green, at the junction of the High Street and The
Causeway, Carlton, just down the road from St. Mary's Church. There
are no names included on the memorial, as it was wished that it be left
blank in order to remember all those who have died in all conflicts,
and since the names from World War 1 and World War 2 are on plaques
in the church and village
hall.
