Son of Benjiman and Elizabeth Brown, of Boot Lane, Dunton. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 C.

Frederick James

Private 33616, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action in France Wednesday 5th October 1917, aged 21. Born and resident Dunton, enlisted Bedford. Son of David and Mary Elizabeth Chessum, of Newton, Dunton, Biggleswade, Beds. Formerly 2054, Bedfordshire Yeomanry. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Son of George and Louise Gale, of Cross Roads, Dunton, Beds; husband of Edie May Gale, of 6, West Cottage, Shortmead St., Biggleswade, Beds. Formerly G/32505, Middlesex Regiment. Private 18556, 6th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Died of wounds in France at the Casualty Clearing Station, Puchevillers, Thursday 23rd November 1916, aged 23. Born and resident Dunton, enlisted Ampthill. Son of Susan Jeeves, of Dunton, Biggleswade, Beds. Buried in PUCHEVILLERS BRITISH CEMETERY, Somme, France. Grave VI. B. 40.

Private 40958, 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action in France Tuesday 30th October 1917, aged 28. Born Dunton, enlisted and resident Biggleswade. Husband of Mrs. E. J.
