WHO WAS KILLED IN ACTION IN FRANCE
FEBRUARY 23RD 1916.
THE ONLY SON OF REVD. THOMAS COLLISSON
(DURING WHOSE INCUMBENCY (1896 – 1916) THE CHURCHES OF
UPPER AND LOWER GRAVENHURST WERE RESTORED)
AND FLORENCE HIS WIFE.
THIS WINDOW WAS ERECTED BY HIS FELLOW OFFICERS AND MANY FRIENDS.

COLLISSON

Evelyn Ernest Arnold

Second Lieutenant "A" Company, 2nd Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action Wednesday 23 February 1916. Age 22. Son of the Rev, Thomas Collisson, Rector of Gravenhurst, Bedfordshire., and Florence Collisson. Buried in Cerisy-Gailley Military Cemetery, Somme, France. Ref, II.G.22.

The churchyard serves as the cemetery for Upper Gravenhurst Church.
