Monday, 12th November 1917. Age 28. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted
Ampthill. Son of Henry and Elizabeth Hodgkins, of Yielden.Commemorated
on Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 48
to 50 and 162A
23245, 2nd Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment who was killed in action on
Friday, 22nd March 1918. Age 24. Born Dean, enlisted Ampthill, resident
Yelden. Son of Thomas and Annie Kennell, of Yielden. Commemorated
on Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France. Panel 28 and 29.
17269, 7th Bn., Northamptonshire Regiment who was killed in action
on Friday, 18th August 1916. Age 17. Born Wellingborough, enlisted
Rushden. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Pier and
Face 11 A and 11 D.
891544, 75th Bde., Royal Field Artillery who died of wounds on Sunday,
13th October 1918. Age 24. Born Sharnbrook, enlisted Thrapston, Northants.
Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, of Swineshead. Buried in Delsaux Farm
Cemetery, Beugny, Pas de Calais, France. Grave I. E. 21.

on Thursday, 4th April 1918. Age 32. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted
Bedford. Son of John Shortland, of Yelden. Buried in Bouchoir New

Wednesday, 14th February 1917. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted
Ampthill. Buried in Serre Road No.2 Cemetery, Somme, France. Grave

1943. Aged 29. Son of Guy William and Daisy Charlotte Hilton;

St. Mary churchyard, Yelden.
