Leonard HODGKINS Private, 23228, 1st Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment who was killed in action on Monday, 12th November 1917. Age 28. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted Ampthill. Son of Henry and Elizabeth Hodgkins, of Yielden.Commemorated on Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 48 to 50 and 162A
Arthur Ernest KENNELL Private, 23245, 2nd Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment who was killed in action on Friday, 22nd March 1918. Age 24. Born Dean, enlisted Ampthill, resident Yelden. Son of Thomas and Annie Kennell, of Yielden. Commemorated on Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France. Panel 28 and 29.
Horace LANGLEY Private, 17269, 7th Bn., Northamptonshire Regiment who was killed in action on Friday, 18th August 1916. Age 17. Born Wellingborough, enlisted Rushden. Commemorated on Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France. Pier and Face 11 A and 11 D.
John ROGERS Gunner, 891544, 75th Bde., Royal Field Artillery who died of wounds on Sunday, 13th October 1918. Age 24. Born Sharnbrook, enlisted Thrapston, Northants. Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, of Swineshead. Buried in Delsaux Farm Cemetery, Beugny, Pas de Calais, France. Grave I. E. 21.
Walter SHORTLAND Private, 20908, 7th Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment who was killed in action on Thursday, 4th April 1918. Age 32. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted Bedford. Son of John Shortland, of Yelden. Buried in Bouchoir New British Cemetery, Somme, France. Grave VI. B. 6.
George Godfrey WAGSTAFF Private, 23238, 4th Bn., Bedfordshire Regiment who was killed in action on Wednesday, 14th February 1917. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted Ampthill. Buried in Serre Road No.2 Cemetery, Somme, France. Grave III. E. 17.
Frank WAGSTAFF Private, 260094, 4th Bn., Yorkshire Regiment who was killed in action on Monday, 27th May 1918. Born and resident Yelden, enlisted Rushden. Commemorated on Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France.

Private, 32677, 3rd Bn., Norfolk Regiment who died at home on Thursday, 29th May 1919. Age 20. Son of William and Mary Robinson, of Yelden. Buried in St. Mary churchyard, Yelden.

Sergeant 1208584, 78 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, wireless operator/air gunner, killed on active service Tuseday 24th August 1943. Aged 29. Son of Guy William and Daisy Charlotte Hilton; husband of Doris Hilton, of Yelden. Buried by the south tower, St. Mary churchyard, Yelden.
Keith Edwin PHILLIPS Aged 14 years, of Yelden, killed by an aircraft which crashed near the church 24th March 1944.
Monica Ruth PHILLIPS Aged 4 years, of Yelden, killed by an aircraft which crashed near the church 24th March 1944.
