CHESHAM - WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © 2003 Martin Edwards

The war memorial stands in the centre of Chesham in a garden at a road junction. It takes the form of a life size figure of an infantryman with his rifle inverted on top of a plinth with a stepped base. Brass plaques are attached to the sides of the plinth with the inscription and names. The World War 2 section of the memorial takes the form of two obelisks either side of, but separate from, the World War 1 memorial. There are 185 names for World War 1 and 77 for World War 2.
