Private 3/7759, 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action Monday 31st July 1916 in France & Flanders. Age 26. Born and resdient Chicheley, Bucks, enlisted Bedford. Son of Martha Brown, of Chicheley, Newport Pagnell, Bucks., and the late Thomas Charles Brown. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 C.

CHESTER Greville Arthur Bagot

2nd Lieutenant, 3rd Battalion, Price of Wales's (North Staffordshire Regiment). Killed in action Tuesday 13th October 1914. Age 23. Son of the late Rev. J. G. Chester. Buried in OUTTERSTEENE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, BAILLEUL, Nord, France. Grave II. F. 47.

CHESTER Lewis Charles Bagot

2nd Lieutenant, 15th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action Thursday 4th April 1918. Age 20. Son of the late Rev. J. G. Chester, and Amy Chester. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 5

CLARKE Vesey Douglas

Private 48600, 5th Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire Regiment). Died of wounds Tuesday 12th November 1918 in France & Flanders. Age 19. Born Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire, enlisted Bletchley, resident Newport Pagnell, Bucks. Son of John and Eliza Clarke, of Chicheley Hall, Newport Pagnell, Bucks. Formerly 40489, Somerset Light Infantry. Buried in ABBEVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France. Grave V. C. 9.

FARRAR, DSO (Sir) George Herbert

Colonel, 1st Bart., attached General Staff, Active Citizen Force. Died on Thursday 20 May 1915. Age 55. Husband of Ella Mabel, daughter of the late Charles William Waylen, M.D. (I.M.S.). Served in the South African Campaign (Mentioned in Despatches); and in South West Africa, 1914-15. Member for Georgetown in the Union Parliament, 1910-11. Buried in BEDFORD FARM CEMETERY, Gauteng, South Africa.

Son of Leonard and Emma Wright, of The Lane, Chicheley. Commemorated on YPRES (MENIN GATE) MEMORIAL, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 34.
