The Coleshill War Memorial stands outside the parish church at the junction of Village Road and Barracks Hill, Coleshill. It takes the form of a Maltese cross with wheel on a three stepped, square base. There are 13 names for World War 1 and 4 names for World War 2.

Charles Henry

Lance Corporal 25581, 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards. Died of wounds 31st March 1918. Aged 25. Born Amersham, enlisted London. Son of Charles G. and Emily M. Birch, of Coleshill, nr. Amersham, Bucks. Buried in DOULLENS COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION No. 1, Somme, France. Plot VI. Row G. Grave 53.

BIRCH

George Thomas

Leading Seaman KP.340, Anason Battalion, Royal Naval Division, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Died of wounds at 12.55pm in 21st General Hospital Alexandria, Egypt 27th June 1915, from gunshoy wounds to the back and kidneys. Enlisted as Private No. 14131 in King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry 3rd September 1914 and transferred to the RNVR at Crystal Palace 10th September 1914. Served with Anson battalion from 22nd October 1914 to 27th June 1915 when he died. Born 12th October 1889. A Gardener. Resided with his father, Charles, at New Houses, Coleshill, Amersham, Bucks. Buried in ALEXANDRIA (CHATBY) MILITARY AND WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY, Egypt. Plot/Row/Section L. Grave 68.

Rifleman R/8315, 16th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps. Killed in action 2nd December 1917. Born and enlisted Amersham. No known grave, Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 115 to 119 and 162A and 163A.
