The memorial is located in the Memorial Gardens, Deiniol Road, Bangor. It takes the form of a tapering pillar surmounted by a cross with plaques mounted on the four protruding piers; thole memorial is mounted on a five stepped hexagonal base; there is a Sword of Sacrifice on the west and east faces and wreathes on all faces. The memorial was first unveiled on 31 October 1923 by Lord Penrhyn. There are 258 names for World War 1 and 95 for World War 2.
