For 31st July 1917 and 1st August 1917, Ypres. Son of Edward Ackroyd, of Southport; husband of Mabel R Ackroyd, of Link Lodge, Malvern Link. Formerly of Southport. Educated Shrewsbury, and Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge & Guy's Hospital, London. Never practised as doctor, but spent years in research laboratories at Cambridge before moving to Royston.
