This
memorial is to be found opposite the junction with Quarry Bank in a
small roadside garden in John Street, Utkinton. It takes the form of
a wooden carved Calvary on a rectangular stepped stone base set in a
paved and gravel area with two circular flower beds and a bench seat.
The memorial was first dedicated and unveiled 1 September 1918 by Rev.
Hughes, Rector of Tarporley, with The Shrine being placed in 1923. For
Utkinton there are seven names for World War 1 and one for World War
2 and a further two names for Cotebrook which do not appear on the memorial.

Cheshire. Son of Peter and Alice Page; husband of Florence Page,
of Utkinton, Cheshire. Originally enlisted 11 February 1920 for
12 years, height 5 feet 2¾ inches, chest 34½, brown
hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion. No known grave. Commemorated
on PLYMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Devon. Panel 38, Column 1.
