World War 1 & 2 - Detailed information
Compiled and copyright © Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council 2018

This memorial is to be found opposite the junction with Quarry Bank in a small roadside garden in John Street, Utkinton. It takes the form of a wooden carved Calvary on a rectangular stepped stone base set in a paved and gravel area with two circular flower beds and a bench seat. The memorial was first dedicated and unveiled 1 September 1918 by Rev. Hughes, Rector of Tarporley, with The Shrine being placed in 1923. For Utkinton there are seven names for World War 1 and one for World War 2 and a further two names for Cotebrook which do not appear on the memorial. For more details see the description on the parish website for Utkinton and Cotebrook.
