The Breage Royal British Legion memorial takes the form of a Roll of Honour, decorated with poppies with some letters illuminated, the whole mounted on red card with a black frame, inside St Breaca Church, Breage. There are 24 names listed for World War 1 and 16 for World War 2. In the grounds of St Breaca Church is the Breage, Germoe and Godolphin Memorial Cross which is a granite, wheel cross, on a square tapered column mounted on a plinth with a two-stepped base. The inscription appears in black, incised lettering, on the plinth, the names for World War 1 are listed in black lettering down the shaft and an additional stone has been placed in front of the cross, at its base, with the names of those who died in World War 2.

PHILLIPS	Algernon Michaes	Flying Officer, 44185, Royal Air Force. Born on 17 October 1910 at Redruth, son of Gp Capt Algernon Wynne Pendennis & Stphanie D E F (nee Coultard) Phillips. Husband of Gwyneth Maude Phillips. In 1939 he was living in Breage Vicarage. He was gazetted a a Pilot Officer on 14 July 1940. Died 7 June 1942 aged 21, while flying as 2nd pilot of Halifax II, tail No V9977 of the Telecommunications Flying Unit from RAF Defford during an experimental flight. Caused by an engine fire burning through starboard wing. He is buried in Hereford cemetery grave 5620.
RICHARDS	Ernest	Leading Aircraftsman, 611580, Royal Air Force. Son of Ellen Richards of Breage. Husband of Dorothy May Richards of Newington, Ramsgate, Kent. Killed on 12 September 1940 when flying in an Avro Anson K6262 of the RAF School of Air Navigation from RAF St Athan. The aircraft crashed into the sea 50 miles west of Lundy Island. He is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
TREDINNICK	Francis Benedict	Private, 5444942, 2nd battalion Devonshire Regiment. Born of 16 May 1912 at Helston, son of Benedict and Elizabeth Ann (nee Burgess) Trembath. Husband of Joan Trembath of Breage. He died on 9 June 1944 aged 31, and is buried in Breage New Cemetery, grave 409.
TREDINNICK	Cyril [Mark]	Corporal, 5443125, 1/6th battalion the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey). Born on 27 May 1913. Husband of Florence (nee Hatch) Tredinnick. He enlisted on 24 June 1940. He was killed in action on 21 August 1944, aged 31, and is buried in St Desir War Cemetery, France, Plot I. Row F. Grave 2.
VARKER	Kenneth	[Listed as YARKER on memorial] Sapper 14356631, 796 Mechanical Equipment Company, Royal Engineers. Died 1 January 1944. Aged 34. Husband of Lois Mary Varker, of Breage. Buried in HELSTON (PORTHLEVEN) CEMETERY, Cornwall. Section B. Grave 660.
VARKER	Thomas Gordon	[Listed as YARKER on memorial] Gunner 1714654, 74 Barttery, 23 Light A.A. Regiment, Royal Artillery. Died m9 JUune 1945. Aged 36. Son of Thomas Alfred and Thomasine Varker, of Breage, Cornwall; husband of Emily Sophia Varker, of Breage. Buried in KIRKEE WAR CEMETERY, India, Plot 4. Row A. Grave 5.
WILLIAMS	William Alfred	Private, 10534452, Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Born on 28 February 1910 at Ashton son of William Thomas and Catherine Rule (Mathews) Williams. Husband of Laura (nee Johns) of Helston (married in January 1937). In 1939 he was registered as a Chauffer and Gardener. He became a prisoner of war of the Japanese and died on 26 June 1943 and is buried in the Chungkai War Cemetery, Thailand. Plot 4. Row N. Grave 2. Note: Chungkai was one of the base camps on the railway and contained a hospital and church built by Allied prisoners of war. The war cemetery is the original burial ground started by the prisoners themselves, and the burials are mostly of men who died at the hospital.
WILLIAMS	Gruffydd [Griffith] Harding	Lieutenant, Royal Naval Reserve, H.M. Yacht Viva II. Born 1 November 1903 at Gulval son of Joseph Harding & Meta Augusta (nee Kelly) Williams. Husband of Mary Clarice (nee Gooderson) Williams then living at "Penhale Jakes", Ashton. The ship was requisitioned by the Admiralty in September 1939 and served in the Anti submarine role. He was killed in action pm 8 May 1941,aged 37, when the ship was bombed and sunk by German aircraft 13 nautical miles west of Trevose Head. He is commemorated on the Lowestoft Naval Memorial.
WORLEDGE	Charles William [John]	Stoker, LT/KX106830, Stoker, Royal Navy, Royal Naval Patrol Service - HMS Girl Mary. Charles was born in Felixstowe, Essex on 16th May 1897, son of Charles and Mary Worledge, and husband of Nora (Nee Perry) Worledge of Penzance. He originally enlisted into the RN on 24th June 1915 at Lowestoft and was discharged to the reserve from HMS Pekin, the auxiliary patrol shore base at Grimsby on 30th December 1919. In March/April 1919 he served HMS Driel Castle in Falmouth on mine clearance duty. Charles was either conscripted of re-enlisted at the start of WW2. HMS Girl Mary was blown up by a mine in the Firth of Forth. Only two of the crew were killed the remainder took to the lifeboats. He was reported missing presumed killed on 10th October 1940 aged 42. He is commemorated on the Lowestoft memorial and thee Godolphin Cross War Memorial.
WILLEY	William	Believed to be Chief Engineer Officer, Merchant Navy, SS Somme. Born 1883 at Pontypool, Wlaes. Believed to have served in the Rn C1900 - 1906 being injured and invalided out of the service. He was killed with all the crew while sailing as part of convoy ON-62 from London via Loch Ewe and Bermuda to Curacao. The convoy had been ordered to disperse 3 days previously bt was sunk by U-108 southeast of Sable Island on18 February 1942. He was aged 59.
