Private S/28217, 1st Battalion, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. Died in United Kingdom 24th February 1917. Aged 25. Born at Moreton (CWGC) or Wareham (SDGW), enlisted and resident Dorchester. Son of George Bishop; husband of Amy Bessie Bishop, of Melcombe Cottage, Broadmayne, Dorchester. Formerly 18673, Dorsetshire Regiment. Buried in St. Lawrence Churchyard, Affpuddle, Dorset.

Lance Corporal 498, Dorset (Queens Own ) Yeomanry. Killed in action at Gallipoli 21st August 1915. Aged 27. Born and resident Cliffe, enlisted Dorchester. Son of Thomas and Harriette Budden, of "Inglenook," Glenwood Rd., West Moors, Wimborne, Dorset. No known grave. Commemorated on Helles Memorial, Turkey. Panel 17 & 18.

[Listed as Edwin only on SDGW] Private 144093, 19th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Killed in action 1st June 1918. Aged 19. Born Tonerpuddle, enlisted Dorchester. Son of Walter John and Amelia Goldring, of Throop Farm, Affpuddle, Dorchester. Formerly 25688, Dorsetshire Regiment. No known grave. Commemorated on Soissons Memorial, France.

Lost with his ship when torpedoed and sunk by U-133 off Sidi Barrani on 17th January 1942; sank after 90 minutes. (source; wikepedia) No known grave. Commemorated on Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.
