Buried in ST. QUENTIN CABARET MILITARY CEMETERY, Heuvelland, West-Vlaanderen,

killed when he drowned while posting a letter 28 December 1918.
Born 24 October 1874 in Everton, Hampshire. Resident Throop. Married
Mary Hayter 20 October 1897; several children George Alexander (1912),
Harry Charles (1901), Alice Mabel (1909), Francis Walter (1904).
A Domestic Gardener at attestation 21 June 1918, height 5 feet 5¾ inches, chest 32½ inches, brown hair, blue eyes, dark complexion.
In the 1911 census he was aged 38, born Everton near Lymington,
Hampshire, a Domestic Gardener, married to Mary, resident Alton
Barnes, Pewsey, Wiltshire. Buried in LILLE SOUTHERN CEMETERY, Nord,
France. Plot I. Row D. Grave 17. |

Killed in action 1st December 1915 at Gallipoli. Age 25. Born Iwerne
Minster, Dorset, enlisted Blanford. Son of Albert and Elizabeth
Kingsbury, of Child Okeford, Blandford, Dorset. Buried in HILL 10
CEMETERY, Turkey. Plot I Row A Grave 20. |

in action 26th October 1914 in France & Flanders. Age 30. Born
and resident Leith, Midlothian, enlisted Edinburgh. Son of John
and Jessie McPherson, of Leith; husband of Alice Muriel McPherson,
of 19, Windsor Rd., Boscombe, Bournemouth. Served in the South African
Campaign with the Royal Scots; three years until 1906 in the 1st
Scots Guards; and eight years in the Hampshire Constabulary and
the Scots Guards Reserve. Buried in ZANTVOORDE BRITISH CEMETERY,
Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Kruiseecke German Cemetery
