Whe turning at 200ft the wing failed to bear the starin and broke away causing the machine to fall out of control.

S.R.Pragnell.
The cause of the accident was due to the pilot endeavouring to turn with insufficient speed, which on this type of machine invariably results in a spin. The pilot made an effort to recover, but did not allow the machine to gather sufficient speed before pulling out of a dive, with the result that: the machine started a second spin. The pilot was then at too low an altitude to regain control.
