The
Swyre Memorial is a 3.6 metre high stone cross sited at the junction
of the b3157 and an unclassified road. It has a three-stepped square
base surmounted by a square plinth with inscriptions on three sides
of the plinth. The whole memorial stands on a paved area enclosed by
a low chain link fence. Only the names of six lives lost in the First
World War are recorded on the two side panels.
