Compiled and copyright © John Simmons 2007
The
Droxford War memorials are to be found within St Mary's and All Saints
Church, Droxford. The World War 1 memorial is in the form of a wall-mounted
marble tablet with an alabaster surround containing 12 names. The World
War 2 memorial is also in the form of a wall-mounted Welsh slate tablet
with 8 carved names and an inscription, a Hampshire Rose is carved in
to the top, centre, of the tablet; this tablet was replaced in 1987
as the old version had become worn; the new memorial was re-dedicated
14th June 1987.
