The Fownhope War Memorial for World War 1 takes the form of a restored churchyard cross with a dedicatory, semi-circular, headed, white marble, tablet with darker marble frame to be found inside inside the church; the inscription is in black lettering; there are 12 names listed. The World War 2 memorial takes the form of a circular stone tablet with the inscription in black lettering with a laurel wreath border with ribbon at the base; there are 5 names listed.

Private 235585, 14th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Killed in action 29 December 1917. Aged 22. Born Fownhope, Hereford, enlistedn New Tredegar, Monmouthshire. Son of Mrs. Louisa Addis, of Common Hill, Fownhope, Hereford. In the 1911 census he was aged 15, born Fownhope, a General Labourer, resident with his parents, John and Louisa Addis, Backpiper, Mordiford, Fownhope, Herefordshire. Formerly 201839, South Wales Borderers. Buried in CROIX-DU-BAC BRITISH CEMETERY, STEENWERCK, Nord, France. Plot I. Row C. Grave 8.
BROOKES Frederick George
Private 11353, 1st Battalion, King's (Shropshire Light Infantry). Killed in action 17 June 1916. Aged 21. Born and resident Fownhope, Herefordshire, enlisted Aberdare, Glamorganshire. Son of Charles and Emma Brookes, of Common Hill, Fownhope, Hereford. Buried in ESSEX FARM CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot I. Row P. Grave 46.

Private 260166, 11th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment. Died on service 5 September 1917. Aged 28. Born Foundhope (sic), Hereford, resident Stoke Edith, Hereford, enlisted Hereford. Son of William and Sarah Ann Goode, of Fownhope, Herefordshire; husband of Rose H. Goode, of The Grove, Oldway, Fownhope, nr. Hereford. Formerly 239011, Herefordshire Regiment. Buried in MONT HUON MILITARY CEMETERY, LE TREPORT, Seine-Maritime, France. Plot IV. Row L. Grave 9B.
HIGGINS Percy Charles
Private G/23331, 10th Battalion, The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment). Killed in action 27 March 1918 [CWC] or 1 April 1918 [SDGW]. Aged 39. Born and resident Fownhope, Herefordshire, enlisted Hereford. Son of Charles and Julia Higgins, of Fownhope; husband of the late Elison Ann Higgins, of Fownhope, Hereford. Formerly 4563, East Kent Regiment. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. Bay 2.

Private 231024, 10th (Shropshire and Cheshire Yeomanry) Battalion, King's (Shropshire Light Infantry). Killed in action in Palestine 30 November 1917.
