HATFIELD HYDE & MILL GREEN WAR MEMORIAL
World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © Martin Edwards 2018
The
memorial originally stood in the village but is now in Welwyn Hatfield,
Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire at the junction of Hollybush Lane
and Homestead Lane. It takes the form of a plain cross on a staggered,
octagonal, plinth with a two-stepped base in a paved area surrounded
by hedges. There are 22 names listed for World War 1 around the sides
of the plinth and 87 for World War 2 (these have still to be transcribed)
on the base of the plinth and the steps leadingt up to the plinth.
