To be found on the wall of John O’Gadddesden’s House close to the junction of Nettleden Road and Church Road, at the North end of the village green. The decorative tablets either side of the memoriAl are from Ashridge House. The memorial takes the form of a wall with pitched tiled roof over a curve edge central pediment. The centre wall is mounted with tablets with the names to the left and right and at the centre are three smaller tablets with the dedication, mounted within decorative stepped frames. Small cameo tablets are mounted in two rows on a low flanking wall at either side of the centrepiece. There are 23 names for World War 1 and 6 names for World War 2.

Note: His mother had already died and it can only be surmised that his father (who lived in Little Gaddesden until his death in 1959) gave Berkhamsted as the nearest town – there are also several 1st World War entries where that has happened. Edward’s full name and his address in Little Gaddesden are confirmed in his National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations) entry.
