Private 20467, 8th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Killed in action 15th September 1916 in France & Flanders. Age 25. Born and resident Therfield, enlisted Royston. Son of Sarah Ann Andrews, of 5A, Holywell Hill, St. Albans, and the late William John Andrews. Buried in SERRE ROAD CEMETERY No. 2, Somme, France. Grave XVII. K. 4.

BADCOCK [Arthur] Ernest

Private SD/5910, 13th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Died in England 12th March 1918. Age 27. Born Therfield, enlisted Hitchin. Son of Julia Badcock, of 9, Fordham Terrace, Therfield, and the late Joseph Badcock. Buried in ST MARY CHURCHYARD, THERFIELD, Hertfordshire.

BATT [Benjamin] Sidney

Private G/3535, 1st Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment). Killed in action 17th October 1918 in France & Flanders. Age 21. Born and resident Therfield, enlisted London. Son of Mr. A. F. Batt, of Therfield, Royston, Herts. Buried in BRANCOURT-LE-GRAND-MILITARY CEMETERY, Aisne, France. Grave B. 5.

BULLARD Albert Edward

Private 23036, 4th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. Killed in action 6th August 1915 at Gallipoli. Age 31. Born Therfield, enlisted St Pancras, London, resident Chalk Farm, London. Son of James and Lucy Bullard, of Dane End, Thunfield, Royston, Herts; husband of Elizabeth L. Bullard, of 34, Wellesley Rd., Kentish Town, London. Commemorated on HELLES MEMORIAL, Turkey.
