HOLME WAR MEMORIAL

of Honour with detailed information

The
memorial stands in front of St Giles church, having been moved in
November 2012, and takes the form of a rough hewn granite rock with
a marble insert with the names inscribed on it. It was unveiled
in 1920 from monies raised by public subscription. There are three
names listed for World War 2 who gave their lives, eighteen for
World War 1 that gave their lives and a further fifty eight who
served in World War 1.
