HOLYWELL-CUM-NEEDINGWORTH WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled and copyright © Gordon Walton & Dave Edwards 2002
The memorial stands at the junction of Overcote Lane and High Street, Holywell-Cum-Needingworth. It takes the form of a Porrtalnd Stone obelisk mounted on a single plinth with a five-stepped base. The inscriptions appear on the plinth faces and at the top of each face is a gable in relief. There are seventeen names for World War 1 and four for World War 2. The memorial was unveiled December 1920; the builders were Messrs. Saint and Son.
