This memorial is to be found in the nave on the North aisle, bay 4, of Canterbury Cathedral. The memorial takes the form of a white marble inscription tablet mounted onto a triangular headed grey marble plaque with two draped flags carved above the tablet with the regimental crest placed in between them. The masons were Gaffin and Co. The names here have been drawn from the memorial and where there is knowledge of the men as rank and file then these have also been listed, so far 5 have been found buried in Kuala Kangsar cemetery.

FRom 2nd November 1875 to 20th March 1876 the 3rd Regiment (The Buffs) were in Perak State, Malaya. Frpm December 1897 to January 1880 they were fighting in the Anglo-Zulu War.
