Grimsargh memorial can be found in Preston Road, Grimsargh, Preston,
Lancashire. It takes the form of a Latin cross with shaft set on a tapering
plinth and plaque on 12 o'clock face. There are fifteen names listed
for World War 1 only.

stomach by an enemy machine gun bullet and alomost instantly killed
2 September 1918. Aged 27. Born 10 March 1890 in Preston, Lanashire.
Son of John and Mary Banks, of Longsight, Grimsargh, Preston, Lancs.,
England originally Rose Cottage, Grimsargh. Farmer by trade. Attested
29 December 1915 at Winnipeg, Canada, maged 25 years 9 months, height
5 feet 8 inches, vhest 39 inches, fresh complexion, blue eyes, black
hair, religious denomination Roman Catholic. Buried in DOMINION
CEMETERY, HENDECOURT-LES-CAGNICOURT, Pas de Calais, France. Plot
