GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918.

Private 1107. 10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 1st July 1916. Son of George and Mary Camplin. Born 1894 Wellingore, enlisted Sleaford and resident Heckington, Lincs. Missing and commemorated Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 1C.

Aircraftman 1st Class 1103778, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 255 Squadron. Died 29th August 1941, aged 27 years. Son of Charles Henry and Dora Hempstead, husband of Mildred Hempstead (nee Pike) of Sleaford, Lincs. Buried Asgarby (St Andrew) Churchyard.
