The memorial is to be found in St Peter's Church, Ashby cum Fenby and is in the form of wooden panels with gilt lettering. There is one single memorial plaque in the churhc to one man who fell in World War 1.

To the memory of William Wright, killed in action in France April 16th 1916, aged 19 years.

Private 3980. 5th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action Saturday 15th April 1916, aged 19 years. Son of Thomas Wright of Ashby cum Fenby, Lincs. Born Gonerby, enlisted Grimsby and resident Ashby cum Fenby, Lincs. Commemorated Ecoivres Military Cemetery, Mont-St Eloi. I.A.21.
