The memorial is located at the junction of Church Lane and Lowgate in the grounds of St Peter's Church, Church Lane, Conisholme. It takes the form of a small, simple, Celtic style wheel cross on a tapering plinth with a single step base.

Son of Mrs. Mary Anne White of Mill Lane, Grainthorpe, Lincs. Buried in FLESQUIERES HILL BRITISH CEMETERY, Nord, France. Plot II. Rpw E. Grave 1.

HUMBERSTONE

Charles F

Lance Corporal 8107, 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 25 September 1915. Born Conisholme, enlisted Lincoln, resident Gainsborough. No known grave. Commemorated on PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL, Hainaut, Belgium. Panel 3.

MAMWELL

Horace

Gunner 32120, 112th Howitzer Battery, 12th Australian Field Artillery Brigade, Australian Field Artillery. Killed in action 21 March 1918. Aged 26. Son of Robert Horace and Ada Mamwell, of Forest Rd., Hurstville, Sydney, New South Wales. Native of Ascot Vale, Victoria, Australia. Salesman by trade. Buried in DRANOUTRE MILITARY CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Plot I. Row K. Grave 12. Australian Roll of Honour Circular [Note his parents were born in Conisholme although he was born in Australia]

Private 13485, 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, Killed in action at Gallipoli 9 August 1915. Born Louth, Lincs., enlisted Grimsby, resident North Somercotes, Lincs. No known grave. Commemorated on HELLES MEMORIAL, Turkey (including Gallipoli). Panel 44 to 46.
