Compiled and Copyright © Martin Edwards 2023

There are several memorial in Fulstow located in various places, they cover World War 1 and 2. The first can be found at Fulstow Village Hall in Main Street, Fulstow. The memorial is a replacement for the original Nissen style hut, this red brick built hall has a tiled roof and an associated stone tablet. The tablet is set into the front wall of the covered porch area and commemorates those lost in World War 1 and World War 2. The tablet has a metal surround and the inscription, and names in two columns, are in gold lettering. Down the centre of the tablet, and separating the names is a coloured depiction of poppies. There are ten names listed for World War 1 and five for World War 2. The dedication took place 13 November 2005 and was attended by Revd Keith Tomlin, villagers, re-enactors. The second memorial is to be found on the east wall of the church porch of St Lawrence's Church, Churchthorpe, Fulstow. It takes the form of a polished green granite tablet with incised inscription in gold listing, in a single column, the names of those killed and their age at death, from both world wars. This memorial was unveiled and dedicated 13 November 2005. Fulstow Methodist Chapel contains the thrird memorial that is a replica of the St Lawrence memorial listing the same names. All names listed here have been sorted into alphabetical order.
