GREETWELL WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 - Roll of Honour with detailed information

The memorial can be found within All Saint’s Church, Greetwell. On the north wall of the nave is a white stone plaque in the shape of a scroll, with incised black lettering bearing the names of the four men commeorated in World War 1. There is a another plaque to one of the men commemorated on the memorial and his grave is in the churchyard.

Charles

Private, 46th Bn 3rd Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment). Died 11/11/1915 (CWGC says 10/11), aged 23. Service No: 426057. Son of Barney and Mary Marshall, of Greetwell, Lincs, England. Born at Hemingby, Lincs. Cemetery: GREETWELL (ALL SAINTS) CHURCHYARD Also on the north wall is a brass plaque on a dark wood surround:
