War 1 & other conflicts - Roll of Honour with detailed information
Compiled

The
memorials can all be found within All Saints Church, Main Street,
Horsington, East Lindsey, Lincolnshire. The first is located on the
southern wall of the nave as a Roll of Honour listing those who served
in World War 1 and takes the form of a framed and glazed wall-mounted
parchment Roll of Honour with Royal Crest at the top, crossed Royal
Standard and Union Flags and swag ending in two roses; the name of
the village is handwritten in a printed box and the names have also
been handwritten and flags of the Allies at each corner. There are
28 names listed including the seven who gave their lives. A further
memorial takes the form of a pax bell with associated carved wooden
board bearing, at top, a coronet, below a laurel wreath, with the
names at the centre with grape vines at each side; at the bottom,
centre, an additional name on a small board; the whole is supported
by two corbels each carved with a fleur-de-lys; seven names are listed.
There are further plaques to individuals from a variety of different
conflicts.
