The Morton (by Bourne) memorial is to be found in the grounds of the Church of St John the Baptist. There are no names recorded on the exterior memorial but there is a plaque within the church bearing the names of those who died in World War 1. The cross is about 18 feet and designed by Wilfred Bond of Grantham, unveiled in 1920.

ASHTON	Arthur	Private 2402. 5th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Killed in action 7th November 1915. Enlisted Derby, Derbyshire and resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated RUE-DES-BERCEAUX MILITARY CEMETERY, Richebourg-L’ Avoue. II.F.1.
ASHTON	John Thomas	[Thomas Ashton on CWGC/SDGW, but John T Aston on 1901 census.] Private 43328. 8th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, formerly T/2/11246 Royal Army Service Corps. Killed in action 20th April 1917, aged 21 years. Son of William and Lizzie Ashton of Hanthorpe, Lincs. Born Morton, Lincs, enlisted Oakham, Rutland and resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL. Bay 3 and 4.
BARRON	William James	Gunner 68821. Royal Horse Artillery attached 32nd Bde HQ, Royal Field Artillery. Died of wounds 20th April 1917, aged 23 years. Husband of Helen Dibbin (formerly Barron) of The Police Station, Mistley, Essex. Born Morton, Lincs and enlisted Hounslow, Middlesex. Commemorated HAUTE-AVESNES BRITISH CEMETERY. C.22.
BATES	Arthur	L/Sergeant 5865. 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 24th August 1914. Born Morton and enlisted Bourne, Lincs. Commemorated FRAMERIES COMMUNAL CEMETERY. I.A.6.
BOOTH	John James	Private 241635. 5th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 19th June 1917. Enlisted Bourne and resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated LOOS BRITISH CEMETERY. XIX.A.26.
COX	Cecil	Private 28430. 10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 10th April 1918, aged 20 years. Son of Mrs Fanny Cox of The School House, Morton, Lincs. Born Stainfield, enlisted Grantham and resident Bourne, Lincs. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL. Panel 3.
FOWLER	Thomas	Private 15020. 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds Gallipoli 24th November 1915, aged 23 years. Son of Edward John Fowler of Franks Yard, Morton, Lincs. Born and enlisted Bourne, resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated HELLES MEMORIAL. Panel 44 to 46.
HANFORD	Harold	Private 49402. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 22nd March 1918, aged 21 years. Son of James and Elizabeth Hanford of Morton, Lincs. Born Morton and enlisted Bourne, Lincs. Commemorated LE CATEAU MILITARY CEMETERY. I.B.7.

PARKER	Rupert Hardy	Lieutenant. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 2nd December 1917, aged 22 years. Only son of Capt C.J.E and Louise Parker of Ludshott House, Grayshott, Hants. Educated Wellington College, Berks. Undergraduate at Christchurch, Oxford. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL. Panel 35 to 37 and 162 to 162A.
PLOWRIGHT	George	Possibly Private 1917. C Coy, 5th Battalion, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Killed in action 25th May 1915, aged 21 years. Son of Mr E.J and Mrs M.A Fowler of 70 Kelham Street, Doncaster, Yorks. Born Bourne, Lincs and enlisted Doncaster, Yorks. Commemorated BOIS-GRENIER COMMUNAL CEMETERY. H.3.
SWIFT	William	Appears to be William Swift, born Morton, Lincs about 1890, the son of George H and Mary A Swift but unable to identify CWGC/SDGW and no further information currently.
TAYLOR	John	Private 1943. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 23rd October 1916. Born Morton, enlisted Bourne and resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL. Pier and Face 1C.
TAYLOR	Joseph Parker	Private 15019. 7th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 26th September 1915. Brother of Mr S Taylor of Franks Yard, Morton, Lincs. Born and enlisted Bourne and resident Morton, Lincs. Commemorated VOORMEZEELE ENCLOSURE No: 3. X.A.11.
