TO THE GLORY OF GOD
IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN OF NETTLEHAM
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR FREEDOM AND HONOUR
IN THE GREAT WAR
THEIR DUTY WELL DONE
1914-1919

In All Saints Church there is also a World War 1 memorial on a built-up wooden plaque with painted lettering. The men are denoted here with a †. There is also a Roll of Honour of those who served and several commemorative items.

THE ABOVE NAMED GAVE THEIR LIVES. MAY THEY REST IN PEACE.
THOSE NAMED BELOW, WERE MERCIFULLY SPARED.

Notes: comparing the list of dead on the church memorial with that on the War Memorial, Fred Sawyer (obviously added late to War Memorial since he is out of sequence at bottom) is missing here, but Alban J. F. Hood is extra. Edward Hood is credited with DSO in both Church memorials, with DSC on War Memorial (inlaid metal lettering, so not due to wear).
