The memorial is to be found in St. Mary's Church, Stamford. It takes the form of the the Rood on top of the Chancel Screen; a wooden plaque lists the dedication in black lettering. There are 14 names with forenames and surnames for World War 1 only. The memorial was unveiled circa 1921. There is a further memorial for World War 2 in the form of the Tower Screen.

GRAY	Charles Shortland	Captain "D" Coy. 4th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 13th October 1915. Son of Charles Gray, J.P., of Stamford, Lincs. Commemorated LOOS MEMORIAL. Brother of below. Also listed Stamford School Memorial.
GRAY	John Parnwell	Lieutenant Royal Field Artillery 14th Div. Ammunition Col. Died 13th September 1918. Age 20. Son of Charles Gray, of St. Mary's Hill, Stamford. Buried STAMFORD CEMETERY Grave A.B.9. Brother of above. Also listed Stamford School Memorial.
HOLLIS	Arthur Henry Joseph	G/23111 Private 8th Bn The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) formerly 31769 Lincolnshire Regiment. Born St Michael’s, Lincoln Enlisted Stamford, Lincs. Killed in action 2nd December 1917. Age 19. Son of Arthur Samwells Hollis and Elizabeth Ann Hollis, of 16, Princes Rd., Stamford, Lincs. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
INGLE	Arthur	66669 Private 1st/6th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Forrest Gate, Essex Enlisted Stamford, Middlesex. Died 11th April 1918. Age 17. Son of Fanny Louisa Ingle, of The Baths, 16, Bath Row, Stamford, Lincs, and the late George Felix Ingle. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL.
JOHNSON	William Inglis	Captain 4th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds 15th October 1915. Age 34. Son of the late George Wolsey Johnson and Emma Mary Johnson, of Stamford, Lincs. Buried BETHUNE TOWN CEMETERY Grave II.K.8.

MINTON	William George	10187 Private 6th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment. Born Newport, Mon Enlisted Stamford, Lincs Resident Peterborough, Northants. Died of wounds 9th August 1915. Age 19. Son of George Henry Minton, of 6, North St., Peterborough. Commemorated HELLES MEMORIAL.
NOWERS	John Anthony	19415 Corporal 26th Bn Royal Fusiliers. Born Market Harborough Enlisted Lincoln Resident Stamford. Killed in action 7th June 1917. Age 26. Son of the late Mr. E. H. R. Nowers and of Mrs. M. E. Nowers, of The Gables, Stamford. Buried VOORMEZEELE ENCLOSURE No.3 Grave XIII. J. 21.
SAVAGE	William Arthur	740956 Serjeant 25th Bn London Regiment (Cyclists). Born Bristol Enlisted Stamford. Died 21st September 1918. Age 28. Husband of Margaret E. Savage, of Town Hall, Stamford. Buried VILLERS HILL BRITISH CEMETERY, VILLERS-GUISLAIN Grave II. D. 2.
SPRINGTHORPE	Harold Thomas	1803 Lance Corporal Lincolnshire Yeomanry. Born Stamford Rutlandshire Enlisted Lincoln Resident Stamford. Died at sea 3rd November 1915. Commemorated HELLES MEMORIAL. Also listed Stamford School Memorial.
