The Tattershall War Mmeorial stands on the village green in Tattershall. It takes the form of a square pillar topped with an orb; the pillar stands on a square plinth upon withich the inscription can be seen; the whole stands on a three stepped base. There are 16 names listed for World War 1 only.

BARK	[John] William	Private 118255, 1/5th Battalion,. Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment). Killed in action 17 October 1918. Aged 19. Born New Bolingbroke, Lincs, enlisted Lincoln, resident Tattershall. Son of John T. and Mary Bark, of Martin Dales, Lincoln. Native of Tattershall. Buried in BUSIGNY COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Nord, France. PLot IV. Row A. Grave 8.
CASTLEDINE	David	Private 12923, 7th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds 10 August 1916. Aged 19. Born and resident Tattershall, enlisted Spilsby, Lincs. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Castledine, of School Lane, Tattershall, Lincoln. Buried in HEILLY STATION CEMETERY, MERICOURT-L'ABBE, Somme, France. Plot III. Row D. Grave 3.
CLARK	Benjamin	Lance Corporal 7800, 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 25 September 1916. Aged 29. Born and resident Tattershall, enlisted Lincoln. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Clark, of Tattershall, Lincoln. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 1 C.
CLARK	Joseph	Private 7829, 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 15 September 1914. Born and resident Tattershall, enlisted Lincoln. Buried in VAILLY BRITISH CEMETERY, Aisne, France. Plot II. Row AA. Grave 7.
CLIFTON	Lionel	Corporal B/202108, 16th BHattalion, Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own). Killed in action 21 March 1918. Born Tattershall, enlisted Lincoln, resident Coningsby. Formerly S/4/086620, Army Service Corps. No known grave. Commemorated on POZIERES MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Panel 81 to 84.
CROFT	Hugh	Private 142012, 6th Company, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Killed in action 21 March 1918. Aged 24. Born Woodhall Spa, enlisted Harncastle (sic), resident Tattershall. Son of James and Janet Croft, of Green Lane, Woodhall Spa, Lincs. Formerly 4724, Durham Light Infantry. No known grave. Commemorated on ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France. bay 10.
GIBSON	Robert	Musician RMB/1304, H.M.S. Queen Mary, Royal Marine Band. Lost with his ship at the Battle of Jutalnd 31 May 1916. Aged 24. Only son of Charlotte Gibson, of Tattershall, Lincoln, and the late Robert Gibson. No known grave. Commemorated on PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, Hampshire. Panel 22.

SILMAN	Charles [Frederick]	Private 14546, 7th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action 16 November 1915. Born and enlisted Lincoln, resident Tattershall. Buried in MENIN ROAD SOUTH MILITARY CEMETERY, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Grave lost Menin Road North Mem. 16.
TOYNE	Alfred	Private 32144, 2nd Battalion, Prince Of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment). Killed in action 25 October 1916. Born Horncastle, Lincolnshire, enlisted Slaithwaite, Yorkshire. Son of James and Ellen Toyne, of High St., Tattershall, Lincoln; brother of Fred (below). In the 1901 census he was aged 8, born Ranby, Lincolnshire, son of James and Ellen Toyne, resident High Street, Tattershall, Horncastle, Lincolnshire. In the 1911 census he was aged 18, born Ranby, a Baker, son of James and Ellen Toyne; brother of Fred Toyne; resident High Street, Tattershall, Lincolnshire. No known grave. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL. Somme, France. Pier and Face 2 A 2 C and 2 D.
TOYNE	Fred	Private 40766, 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died of wounds 18 August 1917. Aged 20. Enlisted Sleaford, resident Tattershall. Son of James and Ellen Toyne, of High St., Tattershall, Lincoln; brother of Alfred (above). In the 1911 census he was aged 14, born Edlington, working on a farm, son of James and Ellen Toyne; brother of Fred Toyne; resident High Street, Tattershall, Lincolnshire. No known grave. Commemorated on TYNE COT MEMORIAL, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. Panel 35 to 37 and 162 to 162A.
WRIGHT	Charles Joseph	Private 14547, 7th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment. Died 24 August 1915. Aged 20. Born Tattershall, enlisted Lincoln, resident Dogdyke, Lincs.
