To
the glory of God this tablet is erected in grateful remembrance
of Driver Thomas Dennis (Army Service Corps) who gave his life for
King and Country in the Great War. He died at Basra where he was
serving with the Persian Gulf Expeditionary Force on June 11th 1916.
Went the day well? He died and never knew. But well or ill. England
he died for you.

circa 1888 Wilsthorpe, Lincs, enlisted Harringay, Nth London and
