The Blaenavon Clock Rower war memorial is set back from the pavement on the corner between Church Road and High Street, close to the Town Hall. It takes the form of a clock tower is an art deco style column on a square plan which is set on wide stone dais with low iron railings surrounding base. The four elevations are similar with stone panels to each, three of them being inset with bronze plaques above each of the panels are three vertical slots inset with metal grills. Above this the column steps in and is surmounted by a clock tower with a clock face inset to each side. It was designed by R L Edmunds and unveiled by Major General Lord Treowen 16th May 1931. In February 1995 it became a Grade II listed building. There are 118 names listed for World War 1, 60 for World War 2, 1 for Korea and 1 for Northern Ireland.
