The monument is in the cemetery at Panteg, on the A4042 just outside Pontypool. It takes the form of a cross on top of a square column, on top of a three-step plinth. On it are recorded 156 names from the First World War, which are grouped according to rank. For ease, they have been sorted alphabetically here.

For continuous gallant and devoted service during the last two months of active operations, especially on 10th October, 1918, north of Le Cateau, when his battery was in action in close support of the infantry. After his officer was killed he carried on with great coolness under very heavy fire until an officer was sent to relieve him, thus enabling much useful work to be done.
