The
Barton Turf has two memorials to World War 1, borth to be found at St.
Michaels Church, Barton Turf. The first is an external memorial in the
gounds of the church in the form of a lych gate with the names carved
onto the horizontal rails inside the gate. The internal memorial is
in the form of a nowy-headed brass plaque with incised inscription in
black lettering and a single line border around the edge. There are
12 names for World War 1 listed on each. There is a single plaque to
one man whi died in World War 2.
