Two
lanterns stand in the High Street, which have the following inscriptions
on brass plaques:
ERECTED
BY THE PEOPLE OF CASTLE RISING
AS A MEMORIAL OF THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918.
ERECTED
BY THE PEOPLE OF CASTLE RISING
AS A MEMORIAL OF THE 2ND WORLD WAR 1939-1945.
There
is also a stone cross opposite the entrance to St. Felix Church, which
has no inscription.
Roll of honour on wall of St Felix Church facing entrance. Memorial gives
full name and Regiment:
