The village of Gimingham is situated a mile or so north west of Mundesley. There are two War Memorials inside the Parish Church. Both give full name and Regiment.

Private 46258. 13th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment. Formerly 37046 Norfolk Regiment. Died of wounds in France & Flanders on 12th April 1918. Born and lived Gimingham. Enlisted Norwich. Son of Mrs. A. Marshall, of 10, Walker Row, Yeadon, Leeds. Buried: Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Nord, France. Ref. I. A. 9.

Serjeant 240108. 1st/5th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action in Palestine on 19th April 1917. Aged 22. Born Gimingham. Enlisted Mundesley. Son of John and Marie Clarke, of White House, Gimingham, North Walsham, Norfolk. Commemorated: Jerusalem Memorial. Panels 12 to 15.

Born Wickmere. Lived North Walsham. Enlisted Norwich. Only son of William and Edna Pentney, of Council Cottage, Gimingham, North Walsham, Norfolk. Buried: Thilloy Road Cemetery, Beaulencourt, Pas de Calais, France. Ref. B. 34.

Stoker 1st Class C/KX 133204. H.M.S. Byrsa, Royal Navy. Died on 18th April 1945. Aged 34. Son of Walter William and Catherine Norah Seago; husband of Dorothy Louisa Seago, of Gimingham, Norfolk. Buried: Florence War Cemetery, Italy. Ref. XII. H. 5.
