GLANDFORD WAR MEMORIAL

The Glandford memorial is to be found in the grounds of St. Martin's Church, Glandford, Norfolk. It takes the form of a four stepped base surmounted by a shaft and cross with a crucifix on the front face of the cross. There are no names listed for World War 1 or World War 2 but there is one grave in the churchyard for World War 2.

KELLOW, DFC Stanley William
Squadron Leader (Pilot) 89825, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 489 (Royal New Zealand Air Force) Squadron. Born London 1913, enlisted 1940 and killed in Beaufighter aircraft accident 5th June 1944 when operating from RAF Langham. Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). Buried Glandford (St Martin) Churchyard.
