The memorial is situated at a road junction about 200 yards east of the church in Halvergate, Broadland, Norfolk. It takes the form of a stone column surmounted by a shrouded urn. There is also a Roll of Honour within the church.

BECK James
James Harold Beck. Private 43206. 2nd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, formerly 22615 Norfolk Regiment. Died of wounds 25th April 1918. Son of George and Mary Ann Elizabeth Beck of Boat Dyke, Tunstall, Norfolk. Born 12th September 1895 Tunstall, enlisted Norwich and resident Tunstall, Norfolk. Commemorated Tunstall (St Peter) Churchyard.
BLOOM George
George Last Bloom. Private M2/221950. Mechanical Transport, Army Service Corps (Private on army record but appears should read Driver). Son of Robert and Sarah Bloom. Husband of Lavinia Matilda Bloom (nee Mutton. Marries 24th March 1913 Halvergate and died 12th October 1916). Born 11th February 1887 Cantley, enlists Norwich (deemed to have enlisted 24th June 1916 and mobilized 11th September 1916. Discharged ‘surplus to military requirements 8th June 1918) and died 25th November 1918 Halvergate, Norfolk. Custody of children to Walter Bloom of Dowlings Farm, Blofield, Norfolk. Commemoration unknown.
BRADSHAW Frederick
Frederick William Bradshaw. Private (16497 as SDGW, 16407 as CWGC and 16307 as ‘Soldiers Effects’). 15th Company, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), formerly 10316 Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 12th September 1916, aged 24 years. Son of Frederick and Sarah A E Bradshaw. Born Halvergate and enlisted Norwich, Norfolk. Commemorated Norfolk Cemetery, Becordel-Becourt. II.B.3.
DIBOLL Edward
Private 3/7194. 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action Longueval 27th July 1916. Only child of Edward and Amelia Diboll. Born c1892 Great Yarmouth and enlisted Norwich, Norfolk (enlists Territorial as Private 1378 23rd March 1911, 4th Bn Norfolk Regiment. To Army Special Reserve as 3/7194 9th January 1912 and mobilized 8th August 1914). Commemorated Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 1C and 1D.
EVERSON Evelyn
Private 15313. 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 28th May 1918. Son of Henry and Hannah Everson of Halvergate, Norfolk. Born 11th December 1887 Halvergate and enlisted 9th September 1914 Norwich, Norfolk. Occupation Fisherman. Commemorated Tannay British Cemetery. Plot 4. Row A. Grave 7.
FOSTER Valentine
Valentine Foster on memorial, Valentine Forster on all other records. Private 15481. 9th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 17th December 1915. Son of (the late) Valentine and Mary Ann Forster (nee Watts, formerly Forster and now wife of Albert Alfred Carter) of Halvergate, Norfolk. Born 15th March 1881 (as army record, although birth recorded 1879) Arminghall and enlisted 9th September 1914 Norwich, Norfolk. Commemorated Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. Panel 4.
GALL Hiram
Hiram Falkland Gall. Private G/22311. 4th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment. Killed in action 18th November 1916. Son of James and Matilda Gall. Husband of Lizzie Louisa Gall (nee Youngs) of Halvergate, Norfolk. Born1885 Ingworth, Norfolk, enlisted Bungay, SFK and resident St Margaret’s (which unspecified), SFK. Commemorated Queens Cemetery. III.B.4.
HEWITT Stephen
Driver 35967. 75th Battery, 146th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Died 86th Field Ambulance, Salonika 30th August 1916. Son of Isaac and Christiana Hewitt. Husband of Louisa Caroline Hewitt (nee Catt) of Charles Street, Kimblesworth, Co Durham. Born 1878 Halvergate, Norfolk and enlisted Durham, DUR. Commemorated Lahana Military Cemetery. III.C.29.
HUNN William
William James Hunn. Private 15363. 9th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 19th August 1916. Son of Herbert and Louisa Maria Hunn of Fleggburgh, Norfolk (as CWGC, of Halvergate as 1911). Born 21st January 1895 Hoveton and enlisted Norwich, Norfolk. Commemorated Auchonvillers Military Cemetery. II.G.3.

Private 23836. 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Killed in action 4th September 1916. Parentage unproven (but probate to William Knights, husband of Sarah S Knights). Nephew of Robert and Hannah Mallett. Husband of Alice A Knights (nee Watts, formerly Knights and now wife of Stanley J Smith). Born 1892 Halvergate and enlisted Norwich, Norfolk. Commemorated Delville Wood Cemetery. XXVII.I.2.

Private 19246, Norfolk Regiment. Son of George and Sarah Newson. Husband of Harriet Alice Newson (nee Mallett) of Tunstall, Norfolk. Born 1882 Wickhampton, enlists 11 May 1915 Norwich (discharged physically unfit for war service due to Epilepsy 13th July 1916) and died 25th November 1918 Halvergate, Norfolk. Occupation Fisherman (closed record indicates was DA1053 Royal Naval Reserve, born 9th June 1882 but no further details). Commemorated Tunstall (St Peter) Churchyard.

Wilfrid Rohan Smith on 1894 birth record, Wilfred Smith on military records. Private 28846. 2nd Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment. Died 16th April 1917. Son of William John and Harriet Louisa Smith of Halvergate, Norfolk. Born Halvergate, enlisted Norwich and resident Halvergate, Norfolk. Commemorated Boulogne Eastern Cemetery. IV.D.26.
