The
Old Buckenham memorial is the form of a cross with a sword of sacrifice
on the apex of the cross mounted on fourlevels of octogaon pedestal
with a single stepped base. The memorial stands on the village green
and is surrounded with a chain-link fence and a double set of wrought
iron gates. The memorial was unveiled on 31st August 1919.
