Private 20704. 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment, formerly 17610 Norfolk Regiment. Died at sea 13th August 1915. Son of Robert and Eliza Allen of Saxlingham, Norfolk (as 1911). Grandson of Daniel and Leah Allen. Born c1893 Hellifield, YKS, enlisted Norwich and resident Saxlingham, Norfolk. Commemorated Helles Memorial. Panel 144 to 150 or 229 to 233.

Frederick Robert Back. Private 12663. Army Cyclist Corps, attached Macedonian Labour Corps and formerly 1955 Norfolk Yeomanry. Died (Pneumonia) Salonika 26th October 1918. Son of John and Eliza Jane Back. Husband of Alice Mary Back (nee Swatman) of 23 Greyhound Opening, Midland Street, Norwich, Norfolk. Born 1888 Hethersett and enlisted 2nd November 1914 Norwich, Norfolk. Commemorated Mikra British Cemetery. 677.
