ROCKLAND ST PETER WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Detailed Information
Compiled and Copyright © Chris Clarke 2008

The Watton war memorial is in the form of a stone cross mounted on a square, stone, column which bears the nineteen names and inscription for World War 1, and secondary plaque bears the names of those for World War 2 (still requires transcription). The column itself is mounted on a three-stepped base and the whole memorial is surrounded with a chain link fence. A further memorial exists in the form of a wall plaque naming all those who died in World War 1 and lists twenty eight men. The Wrld War 1 list here has 30 names, combining the two memorials.
