WHISSONSETT WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 - Detailed Information
Compiled and Copyright © Martin Edwards - 2003

This memorial is a monument within the churchyard. Details here have been taken from an old postcard of the 1920's so there are no World War 2 entries. The memorial takes the form of a plain cross on a tapering shaft mounted on a plinth, upon which the inscription is written, with a three stepped base. There are ten names listed for World War 1. Details of the Seagrim brothers who won the Victoria Cross and George Cross can be found on the Whissonsett village web site.
