WICKLEWOOD WAR MEMORIAL

World War 1 & 2 - Detailed Information
Compiled and Copyright © Chris Clarke 2008

The Wicklewood war memorial stands in the grounds of St Andrew's and All Saints church. It is in the form of a tall Celtic wheel cross on tapering plinth and single stepped base with a carved inscription on the plinth. There is a Celtic knot-work design carved in relief on the front face of the cross. The plinth and base appear to have been renewed. There are ten names for World War 1 and four for World War 2 (not yet transcribed).
