Company Sergeant Major 4662 Christopher Thomas Babbage was born in Templemore Tipperary Ireland c1883. He enlisted in the 8th Norfolk Regiment in Norwich. He served in France & Flanders and died of wounds on 22nd October 1917 aged 34. He is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial Panel 34 to 35 and 162A and on the Wicklewood Roll of Honour inside the church.

Private 16315 Frederick Defew was born in Wicklewood c1897. He enlisted in the 3rd Norfolk, 1st Machine Gun Corps Regiment in Wymondham. He served in France & Flanders and died at Home of wounds on 4th August 1916 aged 19. He is buried at Hickling (St. Mary) Churchyard (in South-West part) and is remembered on the Wicklewood War Memorial. He was the son of William Defew and younger brother of George.
