2nd Lieut. 2nd Bn. Coldstream Guards. Killed in action 27-08-18, aged 19. Son of Sir Leonard Brassey, 1st Bart., M.P., and Lady Violet Brassey, Apethorpe Hall, Peterborough. Buried in Mory Street Military Cemetery, St. Leger, Grave A.04.

Private, 1000719, 16th Bn. Canadian Infantry (CEF). Died of wounds 08-11-17, aged 28. Born Halling, Kent, 10-01-1889, enlisted Canada 08-02-16. Son of Albert and Hellen Francis, Apethorpe Dairy, Peterborough. Buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Grave XXII. AA. 07.

L/Corporal, 110177, Tank Corps. Died at home 20-01-19, aged 25. Son of Mr. J. W. and Mrs. A. E. Mee, Apethorpe. Buried in Apethorpe (St. Leonard) Churchyard, Northants, North-east corner.

Volume 2, Part 5, Page 122 - BINDER - MEE, Walter - Lance Corporal, No 110177, Tank Corps

Son of James Willaim Mee, of Apethorpe, Peterborough, Forester; born Apethorpe, co. Northampton, 14th March 1893; educated Church of England school there; enlisted in the Tank Corps 28th June 1917; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders, and died, while home, on leave, at Upton War Hospital, 20th January 1919 of Meningitis, contracted while on active service. Buried in Apethorpe Churchyard. His Commanding Officer wrote: "He proved himself to be a good and willing soldier, and was highly esteemed by his comrades and all ranks, amongst whom his loss is greatly felt, and much regretted." Unmarried

2nd Lieut. Northamptonshire Yeomanry. Killed in action 12-03-15, aged 32. Son of the late Sir Jacob Wilson, K.C.V.O., and Lady Wilson, Middlecave Lodge, Malton, Yorks, late of Chillingham, Belford, Northumberland. Buried in Fauquissart Military Cemetery, Laventie, Grave G.10.
