Son of Thomas Henry & Alice Sarah Farey of 141, Havelock Street, Kettering. No known grave. Commemorated on Plymouth Naval Memorial.

Private 18977, Northamptonshire Regiment. He enlisted in the 3rd Battalion, spent time in the 7th and returned to the 3rd Battalion before his discharge. He enlisted 8 June 1915. He served in France, 25th November 1915 to 25th October 1916. He was discharged on 25th August 1917 under badge number 229935. He suffered from tuberculosis. He was resident 109 Princes Street, Kettering at time of his enlistment in June 1915. He married Maud Elsie Wallis on 4th August 1913. The couple had one son (Reginald Charles Percy Farnsworth) born in 1914. Charles occupation at time of enlistment was “painter”. He died in September 1918 aged 27 .
